American Sign Language (ASL) Assessment for World Language Teachers of ASL (Subtests I & II) (050/051)
The ASL Assessment includes two subtests. Candidates must take and pass both subtests to qualify for an Ohio license in this field. If you are taking both subtests, you must complete a separate registration for Subtest I and for Subtest II.

constructed-response assignments (4 expressive production

- 2 hours, 15 minutes testing time

You must schedule your test appointment by calling the phone number provided in the confirmation email that you will receive after registering. Follow all instructions in the confirmation email carefully to ensure proper scheduling.

Subtest I: 220
Subtest II (for assessments taken prior to October 16, 2023): Candidates earned a status of "Pass" or "Did Not Pass" based on meeting both of the following examination participation requirements:
- Correctly respond to a minimum of 33% of the multiple-choice questions.
- Provide complete responses to each of the four constructed-response questions. Responses must be in American Sign Language, address the specific requirements of the question(s), and be of sufficient length to respond to the questions.
Beginning with administrations on October 16, 2023, the passing standard will apply, and candidates will need to meet a passing score of 220 for this assessment.
